Dillon’s energy explodes in the summertime. The Lakefront is full of activities from the Dillon Marina to the public parks to free events at the Lake Dillon Amphitheatre! The boat dock, marina and amphitheater are just a short stroll along the lakeside path from the condo. Sail, boat, and fish within Lake Dillon’s 25 miles of picturesque shoreline. The best kept secret in Summit County, Colorado is that there is actually more to do in the summer than in the winter! The area is extremely popular with Colorado residents and tourists. As a result you’ll find a casual, relaxing and pleasant Rocky Mountain High atmosphere during the summer months. When the winter snows melt away Summit County and the Vail Valley come alive with an abundance of outdoor activities. If you’re adventurous there are hundreds of hiking and mountain bike trails that reach the many mountain summits some approaching 14,000 feet in elevation. Bike, jog or rollerblade the paved path which passes through the property and extends for over 100 miles through the mountains. There are stunning mountain meadows of wildflowers and cascading waterfalls. There is white water rafting and four wheeling over the Continental Divide.
For more relaxing activity you might golf one of our world class courses, paddle a canoe in one of the many lakes, cast your line in one of the gold medal fly fishing trout streams, try gold panning, ride a horse to an abandoned gold mine, take a hayride to dinner or relax at a mountain spa. Of course, you don’t have to do anything to enjoy the Summer in this Rocky Mountain paradise. You might just want to read a book overlooking pristine Lake Dillon while watching the sailboat races or stroll through the many shops of the quaint mountain villages. Dillon Marina
Lake Dillon Marina is one of Colorado’s most pristine recreation areas, surrounded on all sides by unrivaled mountain views. The crystal clear water, cool mountain air and breathtaking scenery combine to create a memorable experience for users of this 3,300 acre recreation area. Lake Dillon is fed by the Snake River, the Blue River and the Ten Mile Creek and is home to the Town of Dillon’s deep water Marina. The Dillon Marina provides a quality recreational experience, exceptional service and is host to a variety of activities and special events throughout the season. The Marina is open 7 days a week from the last weekend in May through the last weekend in October (weather and water levels permitting). The Dillon Marina rents pontoon boats, sailboats and runabouts. Dillon Marina also a lakeside bistro to relax and enjoy a bite to eat while taking in the view stunning views.
